Description

This is my new Roo, he is about 2 to 3 months older then the eldest in my flock so he is just over a year old.
His previous owner could not keep him due to him being too agressive toward anyone who entered their run and I figured rather then tossing him in the freezer I'd give this beauty a second chance and took him in.

I had a few concerns with introducing him to the flock
1 - Cacciatore is aggressive
2 - Illness both ways (not really a huge concern, both flocks dont have any signs of deseases)
3 - How will my flock take to a 5th adult rooster

So Cacciatore is still aggressive, but after about 3 minor non injury cock fights (I was there watching the whole time) they ignored each other, then Hayley went up against the phoenixes Raw and Cooked, they doubled up on him and he went running. Running right into Nugget the sweetest of my entire flock. Nugget had a go at him and picked on him all day. After spending the day outside today watching and cleaning out the coop, they are all tollorating each other and Hayley is hanging out away from the flock for the most part.

Again the illness thing isnt that much of a concern, I checked him for all signs of illness and introduced him about 2 hours after I got him. I will be keeping a close eye on them all for the next few days and hopefully nothing will pop up and all will be good.

For the most part the older hens ignore him and hang out with their pimp Cacciatore, the October girls are still finding their place in the flock so they tend to hang out with him because they are all kinda rejects, so he has some friends.

Right now my biggest concern is he is not returning to the coop at night so I have to hunt him down.
